116 Cora Street

This house and Cora Street, where it stood, were demolished in 1967 with urban renewal funds. Cora Street connected Mangum and Roxboro streets. Then a working-class residential block located just south of the Southern Railway depot, it and the surrounding area have become the hub of the judicial system in Durham County. The Durham County Detention Facility stands just north of where Cora Street once was, and the courthouse, which opened in 2013, just south of it. These two civic structures make up the Durham County Justice Center.
